# GRAVITY Babelfish
GRAVITY Babelfish is an feature introduced in GRAVITY 1.35, designed to enhance the translation process within Callouts. This tool is aimed at translators who are not GRAVITY Authors, allowing for smoother collaboration and improved workflow management. With GRAVITY Babelfish, Authors can now efficiently work with translators by inviting them to the specialized GRAVITY Babelfish portal.

## Preconditions
Ensure you have the following before you start:
- You need to be a GRAVITY author and/or Learning Manager with editing rights to the app/site where the callouts are located. See [[User Roles]] for informations
- The user you invite needs to have a password assigned to them in the [[Admin Site]].
## Step-by-Step Guide
### 1. Accessing the Barycenter
1. Navigate to the Barycenter [[GRAVITY Callout Management]] section.
2. Go to the Management tab.
### 2. Initiating a Translation
1. Find the Callout you want to be translated.
2. Click on "Edit Translation" button next to the Callout listing.
3. In the Translation Modal Window that appears, look for the Babelfish function/button in the top right corner (Image 1).

### 3. Configuring Babelfish
1. Click on the Babelfish button.
2. Within the Babelfish drop down menu, select the source and target languages for the translation (Image 1).
3. Define the duration for which the translator should have access. Press "Babelfish it"
4. GRAVITY will now generate a unique link for this translation task. You may now click "Copy Link," which will copy the link to your clipboard so you can share it with your peer / translator.
5. Share the generated link with the translator(s) you are collaborating with.
### 4. Translator's Access to Babelfish Portal
- The translator will use the shared link to access the Babelfish Portal.
- Upon accessing the link, the translator will be prompted to enter the login and password provided by the Author.
- After successful login, they will access the translation environment where they can work on the content provided (Image 2).
